Friends, I promised you to write about cookies recently, so here I am writing! I never baked cookies much, and until recently, I considered baking such small things as a matter not at all serious or useful, as there is more sugar and fat in it. With children, we often baked cupcakes, pies, whisked up biscuits (yeah, very good for everything and figures), but before that the cookies did not reach. And recently   I promised Breadmen to bake  I came down and I discovered this miracle - the most delicious world of homemade whole grain cookies! Baked oatmeal with whole grain flour, and so far this is the most delicious and wonderful cookies that I have ever tasted!

I met the oatmeal recipe thanks to a talented culinary blogger. Talerke  who came to visit and took off, as I bake bread. Andrei Azarov showed very simple, intuitive and beautiful, and there really is a lot of oatmeal - 2.5 cups per cup of flour, plus honey, sugar and butter, and it somewhat resembles our sugary oatmeal (and if you overdo it with sugar, then even reminds), but much, much more delicious. I reduced the amount of sugar and butter, added nuts and gingerbread spices and it turned out even tastier! We even baked it in the garden, I occasionally dragged the mill there to show the children how flour was made.

For 20-25 pcs.
2.5 cups of oatmeal (I have homemade, crushed specifically for the recipe);
1 tbsp. whole grain flour;
100 gr. soft butter;
2 eggs;
½ tbsp. sugar (can be safely reduced by half);
½ tbsp. honey (can also be halved);
¼ tsp salts;
1 / tsp soda;

½ tbsp. walnuts;
1 tsp spices for gingerbread or a mixture of nutmeg and cinnamon.

Our cookies, probably, would have won the competition for the most childish and useful cookies! We shortly before making flakes, we knead the dough on the biscuits (h), we ground the flour just before. Home-made flour surprised both children and adults, the first took the most active part in the process: they poured grain into the bunker, inserted the cord into the socket, pressed the switch, lifted the lid and spied on how the wheat grains fell down on the millstones. Process.

20 minutes before baking, turn on the oven to warm up to about 190 degrees, whip soft butter, salt and sugar, as soon as the butter becomes lush, add honey and continue whipping until the honey completely disperses.

As soon as this has happened, add the eggs one at a time, each time beating the mass with a mixer.

In a separate container, mix the flour, flakes, soda, spices, raisins and nuts.

1 cup wholegrain flour (I have a glass of 240 ml)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon soda
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 cup of milk or water
3 tablespoons of olive oil

in the dough, you can add - oatmeal, dried cranberries, raisins, poppy seeds, etc.

1. Mix together flour, baking powder, salt.


2. Add honey, olive oil and milk.


3. Mix all together until smooth.


4.   Today I decided to add a generous handful of oatmeal to the dough.


5.   Stir the dough again and leave for 10 minutes.


6.   Roll out the dough in a layer of 3-4 mm and cut cookies.


7.   If you have a stamp, you can apply it. Feel free to press harder.


8.   We send in the oven heated to 180 degrees, having established a baking sheet in the top third. Bake 10-15 minutes.


9.   I like this yogurt cookie.
