Chakras: how to open them and what it can give you. Completing chakra activation

Anahata is the chakra of spirituality and love. Activated Anahata is the gateway leading to Supreme Consciousness.

What is the Anahata chakra?

Anahata¹ is the fourth chakra² in the system of human energy centers. This is the heart chakra - mercy, loyalty, healing and caring for others. It is thanks to her that we can energetically connect to another person, empathize with him, feel him spiritually and emotionally.

Anahata is the energy center that connects the upper and lower chakras, the spiritual and material in a person.

Working with Anahata, with the Spiritual heart, is one of the most important tasks facing a person engaged in self-development and striving for spiritual improvement.

Exercise to activate the Anahata chakra

To activate the Anahata chakra we will use the Arka exercise.

1. First you need to perform any known grounding exercise. If necessary, they can be found on the Internet.

2. Then move the charge of energy into the pelvis, moving your hips back and forth until the energy is felt in.

3. Then you should take the arch position: legs bent at the knees, first the pelvis protrudes forward, then the chest and stomach.

4. Raise your arms up, throwing your head back. If the exercise is performed correctly, vibration will appear in the chest.

5. Then you should inhale and relax.

6. Imagine how green light fills your heart.

7. Slowly return to the starting position (arch). Bend your knees slightly and slowly lower your arms. Eyes closed.

After the exercise, you need to stand for a while and recover. And do the exercise again.

What does activating the Anahata chakra give?

Anyone who has achieved awareness at the level of the Anahata chakra gains refined balance of body and soul. The world of holiness embraced by this chakra brings a person the ability to see divine grace in all things.

Fulfillment of desires is no longer a problem for such a person, since the energy of this center is balanced in all six directions. A person whose consciousness is dominated by the heart chakra lives in harmony with the external and internal worlds.

Notes and feature articles for deeper understanding of the material

¹ Anahata is a chakra located in the center of the sternum (Wikipedia).

² Chakra in the spiritual practices of Hinduism is a psychoenergetic center in the subtle body of a person, which is the intersection of the nadi channels through which prana (vital energy) flows, as well as an object for concentration in the practices of tantra and yoga (

A person who has not opened his chakras, that is, who does not know how to disidentify with their activity, who does not know how to visualize them, cannot consciously use his energy system as a channel of interaction with the environment, both external and internal. Only with the ability to identify his consciousness with his physical “I” is a person able to consciously manage (of course, within certain limits) the work of the chakras. And the sooner we understand that the consciousness of our brain is only one of the forms of consciousness, that it is localized in various specific centers of our body, the sooner we will learn to feel and be aware of ourselves as if stereophonically, that is, to more adequately reflect the objectively existing world.

In order to use the centers consciously, it is not at all necessary to see them. All people, especially women, use them unconsciously, not always, of course, realizing this. Unlike men, women have a much better sense of their body and know that the body reacts differently to different situations - for example, meeting different people seems to echo in different areas of the body.

For the most part, people move through life as if on autopilot of centers that independently react to the environment and influence it. People cannot use centers consciously, because their centers are “closed” - they do not see the activity of their centers, they are dissolved in it. Having “opened” the centers and seen them from the outside, that is, having disidentified with their activities, a person gains the ability to use his centers as a special channel of conscious INTERACTION with the environment, both external and internal.

You can find many ways to activate (open) the chakras. I will give only two fairly effective complexes.

Set of exercises “Disclosure”

First we activate Anahata. To do this, we direct our attention inside the chest. Attention should be relaxed; you should not “imagine” any energy processes. Then you need to look for warmth and fire in this area, although at the beginning the sensations can be very individual (these are sensations not of the center itself, but of what closes it). It is advisable not to concentrate attention on one point, but to listen to the energies of the center widely throughout the entire volume of the chest.

When Anahata opens, the sensation of energy extends beyond the physical body. If you can see the energy - good, no - not scary either. In the beginning, physical sensations are much more important. You need to strive for a feeling of very intense heat. Usually this is followed by a transformation of the energies of the center and the already familiar sensations may disappear. You need to persistently listen to them, and the sensations will appear again, but the energies of the center will be different. This process (energy changes) can happen many times.

The fire of Anahata very quickly burns through energy impurities throughout the body and thereby makes a person susceptible to energy processes.

Without stopping listening to Manipura, we transfer part of our attention to the area of Vishuddhi. We listen, spreading attention to the entire throat area, as if from the inside out. Here the initial sensations will most likely be associated with the movement and pressure of energies.

Energy centers, in addition to communication along the central meridian, are connected in pairs by a kind of channels located on the sides of it. At the same time, Anahata occupies a central position in the human energy structure, and the chakras equally spaced from it are connected to each other.

It is better to listen to paired chakras together than separately, since with such listening the channels connecting them are cleared and activated. You can transfer your attention from one chakra to another and back, as if rocking a swing. You can listen to both chakras at the same time.

If one of the chakras is weakened, then listening to the steam room will help quickly fill it with energy. In general, listening to paired chakras is not a special technical technique, but simply a natural way of revealing the energy structure originally given to a person.

Next we listen to the second Svadhisthana. We don’t listen to just one point, but cover with relaxed attention the entire area of the lower abdomen. We look for warmth there, which then spreads throughout the body. Without losing the feeling of Svadhisthana, we listen to Ajna, like a small ball with a center in the middle of the forehead. We are looking for warmth and fire there. As before, we try to maintain attention on both chakras.

Now let's listen to Muladhara. We are looking for warmth and fire in the perineal area. The heat can be very intense, even stronger than in other centers. Many energy channels begin in this area, and sensations of intense movement of energies are possible. At the same time, we listen to Sahasrara above our heads, 10–15 centimeters above the crown. We listen to an area approximately 10 centimeters in diameter. The energies of the Sahasrara can descend down, creating a feeling of pressure on the top of the head. The sensations themselves are more subtle than those from the chakras located in the body. They can be described as “the presence of energy.”

During the opening of the chakras, unpleasant sensations may occur in their locations. Thus, headaches often accompany the opening of Ajna, which is explained by the contamination of the chakra that you are “cleansing”.

Practice activating Anahata first. Then the first pair closest to it, etc. Try to maintain the activation of previously opened chakras when you move on to the next ones. But at the beginning this may not work - then just move on, focusing on the next chakras

Next, we listen to the chakra located in the area between the feet. We feel intense heat and vibration there, spreading to our feet. Without losing sensation, we transfer our attention to the place at knee level. There, too, there should be a sensation of a warm or hot ball, as if hanging between the legs and connected to the body. Then we feel a place approximately in the middle of the thighs on the central axis. We find sensations of energies in this area. The heat and vibrations of these centers reach the physical body and allow you to feel that the “empty space” in them is not completely empty.

Next, we look for the centers located above the head. The first of them is located above the Sahasrara, about 15–20 centimeters higher. You can hear the flow of energy descending onto the body from this center. Then we listen to the center at the upper border of the energy cocoon - approximately 50–70 centimeters above the head. As with the previous one, we are looking for a feeling of energy and flow from the center down.

Once you have learned to freely activate your chakras, move on to activating your meridian system. It is necessary to direct your attention to the tips of all 10 fingers, and subsequently to the toes, and monitor all the changes that occur in them.

The outlets of the meridians are not on the fingertips, but precisely at the very tips, in front of the nails. The diameter is about 1 millimeter and this is where you need to pay attention. If you are sitting, it is more convenient to place your hands on your knees with your palms facing up.

It is necessary to monitor all changes that occur. The sensations at first can be very individual (tingling, movement, heaviness, warmth), but later they are transformed into the movement of fire through the fingertips along the hands into the body and at the same time the flow of this fire outward.

During the listening process, a sensation of the etheric body may appear on the hands - like a soft glove, but do not be distracted by it, you need to look for the movement in the fingers (then it can be felt outside the body - like jet streams).

Over time, tuning to the fingertips will be able to activate the meridians throughout the body, and the body will simply begin to “buzz” with the movement of energies. Listening to the fingertips is one of the most effective ways to gain power and repair damage to the cocoon.

Start with your fingers. This is easier, and you can start listening to the tips of your toes when the processes in your hands are already very active. The energy channels in the feet are usually much dirtier and more difficult to cleanse.

In order not to interfere with the processes of cleaning energy channels, you should not carry heavy objects in your hands (preferably in a backpack) and hold energetically dirty things in your hands (one of the most contaminated things is money, do not hold them in your hands for a long time). If this happens, just intensify your practice.

When the channels in the hands become active, the hands seem to “come to life” and they can easily feel the energies around the body. After that, move on. Listening to the hand channels. The hand channels enter the body at the center of the palms. The diameter at the entry point is approximately 1.5-2cm. Passing in the center of the arm, they emerge from the body of the clavicle, near the shoulder joint. It’s easier to start listening only to the centers of the palms, then transferring part of your attention to the area of the clavicles (channel exits) and further, covering the channel along its entire length. Another way is to slide your attention back and forth along the entire length of the channels. You need to look for a feeling of warmth and movement of energies along the channel.

Then we listen to the leg channels. If you have enough attention, we continue to listen to the hand channels. The leg channels enter the body at the center of the foot, an area about 2 cm in diameter. Passing through the center of the legs, they exit just above the crease of the hip (if you are sitting on a chair). You can only listen to the entry and exit points of channels, but it is better to cover their entire length. Just like for your hands, you can listen to channels by moving your attention back and forth along it.

Next, we listen to the channels inside the body. Their exit points are at the top - at the collarbones, closer to the middle of the body than the exits of the arm canals, approximately in the middle of the collarbone, at the bottom - in the lower abdomen, again closer to the center of the body than the exits of the leg canals. Diameter - 1.5-2cm. The channels themselves do not pass along the surface of the body, but inside, but not very deep. The channels also run in the back of the body, along the back, as if lying on the shoulders, and exit the body in the area of the kidneys. We listen to the exit points of the channels, then listen to them throughout or move our attention back and forth along the channels.

When listening to the leg channels, you should not first practice the lotus position, or other cross-legged positions, or the kneeling position. It is better to sit on a chair or armchair with your feet on the floor. This removes unnecessary mechanical stress and facilitates the flow of energy through the channels.

The sensations in the channels of the arms and legs can become very intense, literally a stream of fire filling the arms and legs. When the hand channels are working, it is easy to create an "energy ball" between the palms - an area of highly concentrated energy that can be used to infuse other energy centers, for healing and other purposes. Hands and feet become “alive”.

In general, the channels do not end at the border of the physical body, but go beyond its limits and connect us with the energy field of the earth. It is quite difficult to feel this continuation of the channels at the beginning of practice; therefore, during the course, it is better to limit the area of attention to the physical body.

Exercise "Whirlwinds"

In parallel with the implementation of the “Disclosure” complex, you can perform this exercise. It will help to more actively open the chakras, “unwinding” them.

Feel the Muladhara, warm it up, feeling how a warm stream of dark red energy flows into it from below. Feel how this flow fills Muladhara.

Then the stream rises, gradually turns orange and fills Svadhisthana. At the same time, it spins clockwise when looking at you from the front (spinning from the right hand to the left in the plane of the abdomen). Feel a vortex of orange energy spinning faster and faster, becoming brighter and extending beyond the front and back of your body. The center of the vortex will be in Svadhisthana, and funnels will come out of it from the back and front.

Gradually the stream rises higher and reaches Manipura, which also begins to unwind. In this case, the color will already be yellow.

And so on. Having reached Sahasrara, the stream turns purple and spreads over you in the form of a huge flower, flows around you in the form of white-golden light and again enters Muladhara through the feet and legs. You should feel yourself inside an elongated sphere filled with energy (energy cocoon). The energy will circulate inside the cocoon, and in the chakra areas you will feel rapidly rotating, expanding and flowing into the surface of the cocoon.

You should get out of this state by gradually slowing down the rotation and flow speed. Feel how pure energy is freely and evenly distributed throughout your body. And around the body along the perimeter of the cocoon, it compacted and tightly clasped you, protecting you.

During the activation of the chakras, in addition to filling them with the appropriate color, you can pronounce the mantras corresponding to them in the appropriate key. At the same time, concentrate on the color, on the chakra and on the sound and try to make the sound come as if from the location of the chakra, it should vibrate with this sound.

Over time, you may begin to see chakras, flows, vortexes, etc.

Fiery "Path to Magic"

Chakras are energy points in the body that are responsible for storing, transforming and receiving energy. The very concept of “chakra” is abstract. They cannot be seen or touched, but they can be felt. Each human chakra is responsible for certain spiritual qualities and energy in one or another area of life. It is believed that if a person fails in some area, then some chakra does not work for him. For example, failures in your personal life can occur due to the fact that the love chakra does not work well. Where are these energy centers located, and how to activate them?

There are 7 chakras in total. Each has its own function and is located in a specific place on the human body.

The first chakra is Muldahara

It is located in the perineum or at the base of the spine. This chakra is responsible for natural instincts, inner fears and physical endurance. If it does not work, then the person begins to feel defenseless, lonely and insecure. On a physical level, this can manifest itself through pain in the lower abdomen and spine. You can activate the Muladhara chakra through meditation. To do this, you need to imagine a red energy ball in the tailbone area and tune yourself to the idea that life does not pose any threats. You should feel confident, well-being and safe.

Second chakra - Svadhisthana

It is located at the level of the appendix and is responsible for the feeling of joy, the ability to receive pleasure and the formation of creative energy. People who have an inactive chakra often become angry, jealous, and dependent on their attachment to something. On a physical level, this can manifest itself through diseases of the genital organs. You can activate the Swadhisthana chakra through the return of simple everyday joys. Try to find something pleasant in every day you live, get satisfaction not from the result of the work, but from the process, fight negative emotions and remain yourself.

Third chakra - Manipura

It is located in the solar plexus area. If you often do something not the way you want, if all your plans collapse due to some external circumstances, you cannot muster the strength to take active action, then the Manipur chakra is not working for you. She is responsible for confidence, life principles, our desires, stereotypes and choice of path. Physical manifestations of the inoperative state of this energy center are diseases of the stomach and liver. You can activate this chakra by freely expressing your thoughts and desires, as well as by freeing yourself from stereotypes and prejudices.

Fourth chakra - Anahata

It is located in the area of the heart and is responsible for the ability to love and compassion. The physical manifestations of the passivity of this chakra are diseases of the heart, lungs, and poor circulation. Failures in love? Perhaps your love chakra is not working? You can activate it if you learn to accept yourself for who you are and love your body and soul.

Fifth chakra - Vishuddha

This chakra is located at the base of the neck and is responsible for self-realization. If you are lost in life, you are not satisfied with what is happening around you or the lifestyle you lead does not bring you satisfaction, then this chakra does not work for you. At the physical level, this can be expressed through diseases of the larynx, thyroid gland, and throat. To activate this chakra, you need to remain yourself, not depend on other people's opinions and views, follow your own path and be honest.

Sixth chakra - Anja

It is located in the middle of the chest and is responsible for intuition. The passivity of this chakra can be expressed in addiction to drugs, high self-esteem, loss of meaning in life and a feeling of superiority over other people. This chakra can be activated through the development of intuition. It is necessary to listen to your desires more often and learn to feel unity with the world.

Seventh chakra - Sahasrara

It is located in the parietal region and is responsible for unity with the Universe. This is the highest point of human consciousness. It is responsible for spirituality and insight, and is the main chakra through which the energy of other centers passes. This chakra can only be activated through meditation and gaining new knowledge about the Universe and its energy.

Working with chakras is a long process, but the result of all the efforts is worth it to understand your energy centers. Awareness of harmony, a sense of joy, success in life and finding the meaning of life - all this can be achieved through the active work of the chakras. Strive for excellence and remember to push the buttons and

Anahata is the name for the chakra of love, and it would be quite suitable for the role of the most important one, because love...

This post is about how to activate the chakras without special techniques, just by observing your sensations, and how this will change your life.
Chakras are like steps of a ladder: the higher you go, the further you can see...

Let's imagine the chakras today as observation points through which your consciousness “travels.” I’ll tell you in examples what observing yourself from different points will give you. How to increase the range of perception at each point and how to move between them.

Muladhara - area of brute force

If a person perceives only rude and loud signals, seeks pleasure only in sex, food, asserts himself with the help of physical strength... we can say that his attention is fixed in the coccyx area (Muladhara chakra). These are rather rude people, their nervous system is not ready to perceive the beauty of music, painting, subtle tastes and aromas. They find it difficult to express their thoughts. They understand a blow to the jaw better than persuasion.

How to develop Muladhara? Watch your ability to receive. Accept gifts, accept people as they are, accept misfortune as a necessity, accept pain as an impetus for development. Accept everything. At the mental level, this looks like humility. At the energetic level - as the ability to accept huge amounts of energy.

Svathisthana - the area of the procreation instinct

If concern for loved ones (clothing, feeding, protecting) appears in a person’s sphere of interests, it means that consciousness has risen to the level of the lower abdomen. In this place, feelings of energy, joy of life and fear for it are concentrated. This place corresponds to the Svadhisthana chakra.

How to develop Svadhisthana? Learn to enjoy life and be honest with yourself. Find out what brings you true joy. Not momentary pleasure, not the triumph of “vengeance,” but true joy. It would also be good to find out what makes you work a lot and rest little. To be honest, I don’t think about this often myself. I think this is why illnesses occur in the area of Svadhisthana.

Manipura - the area of communication and intelligence

Manipura is activated when a person begins to consciously act in society, to understand what role he plays. At the level of the physical body, this is associated with sensations in the solar plexus. And this is not always a pleasant feeling. If Manipura is weak, a person plays only one or two roles, even if he does not like them.

How to develop Manipura? Watch your interactions with people. Learn to understand what you like and don’t like in communication. Find out what makes you do and say things you don't like. This could be a lie (when you're afraid to tell the truth), or random rudeness, or communication with a client who disgusts you, or sex when you don't want it. In the process of observation, you will understand what makes other people go against themselves. As a result, you will become a successful leader, or... a great manipulator, unless, of course, you want to be “stuck” in your development in the area of Manipura.

Anahata - the region of subtle feelings

If consciousness is at the level of the heart (Anahata chakra), a person finds a huge range of subtle sensations. Now he is able not only to logically understand, but to feel, to deeply experience beauty, ugliness, pain, joy. This new sensitivity becomes more important than logic. That is why, when a person falls in love (as we say, with all his heart), he acts absurdly, contrary to common sense, but with full confidence that he is right.

How to develop Anahata? Observe the chest and heart area. Notice when and why you experience a feeling of “a stone on your heart,” or “heaviness,” or “your heart is bleeding.” Notice what events or thoughts make your heart ache. You will understand that it shrinks from fear, turns to stone or breaks from resentment, and bubbles from anger. There is only one way out: to expand the heart towards all these feelings. Accept and bless them. It's painful and scary. It can even be dangerous. I knew people whose physical hearts were weak at that moment and could not withstand this flow. Well... You always have a choice.

Vishuddha - the region of omniscience and omnipotence

When a person's consciousness rises to the throat region (Vishuddha Chakra), a person rises above feelings, emotions, obstacles and prejudices. He looks down at them. And from here all models of human behavior are visible. You can see what causes anger, joy, pain. It is clear what problem is preventing us from setting a new world record. The laws of nature are clear. That is why Vishuddha is the area of talent development.

How to develop Vishuddha? This is not an easy task. To develop Vishuddha means to overcome gravity, because it is located above the five lower chakras, symbolizing the five earthly elements. The development of Vishuddhi is associated with a gradual or abrupt renunciation of everything earthly. Great mathematicians, actors, musicians, physicists... remember at least one of them who could live the ordinary life of a tradesman? As a rule, they sacrifice everything for their mission: strength and health, family happiness and position in society... From the point of view of an ordinary person, the development of Vishuddhi is like constantly making sacrifices. While you look from below, it's scary. But from the point of Vishuddhi itself, this is natural. And the values acquired in return cannot be compared with the “home comfort” of stuffy and cramped apartments, crammed with TVs, furniture and expensive clothes...

Ajna (Agya, Ajna, Agyan) - the area of clairvoyance

Gyana or Jnana in Sanskrit means knowledge. A-jnana is ignorance, but not in the meaning of “ignorance”, but in the meaning of “super knowledge”, which is above all logic. The area between the eyebrows (in any person) perceives the essence of any thing and any phenomenon, even encountering them for the first time. This is not only the ability to understand the essence, the reasons for things, but also to create these reasons. Literally, to create the causes of future events. Remember the swan princess from the fairy tale about Tsar Saltan? “The moon shines under the scythe, and the star burns in the forehead.” The month under the scythe is Vishuddha, the star in the forehead is Ajna. Do you remember what the princess did? So this is not exactly a fairy tale... This is all the power of Vishuddhi and Ajna. Compared to this, modern “psychic battles” are childish fuss.

How to develop Ajna? Observe your intuition, try to trust it, try to understand what it is or Who it is. I can't recommend anything else. Of course, there are many techniques for developing intuition. But I wouldn’t recommend delving into them. The development of intuition in itself is incorrect and dangerous. It's the same as if you were looking for water in the desert and came across a diamond vein. You started digging for diamonds, forgetting about water and... died of thirst. Also the development of Ajna, this is the last temptation of Christ, when Satan offers to lay the whole world at his feet. It happens that a person is tempted and... falls. Because at that very moment he again finds himself in the grip of desires for wealth, pleasure, power... In short, everything from the very beginning.

Sahasrara - the region of holiness

When the consciousness is entirely at the top of the head, this is Samadhi. This is the point of merging with the whole World, surrender to God. Talking about this area is the lot of saints, and even they are often silent. I remember my interview with Mahamandaleshwar Swami Vishnudevananda Giri, whom his disciples reverence as a saint. He told me why to meditate on different chakras, and only said nothing about Sahasrara. I suspect that I was simply unable to understand this, much less convey it to readers.
How does the growth of awareness manifest itself in ordinary situations?

A person’s consciousness can concentrate in one chakra, in several or in all at once. It depends on what a person perceives and how he is able to express himself. Here's an example to illustrate.

Let's say you are forced to make a useless purchase:

If your attention is focused in Manipur, at this moment you are only able to think about which of you is smarter, more beautiful, who expresses his opinion better. If the seller turns out to be more convincing, he will sell you his product.
If your attention is in Anahata, you will no longer be caught in persuasion. But you may buy into pity or the desire to quickly get rid of it.
If your attention is in Vishuddha, you see right through the seller, and you don’t care how he feels. This is just the role he chose today. Neither beliefs nor emotions have power over you.
If your attention is in Ajna, then you know about the arrival of the seller a week in advance.
If your consciousness is in the Sahasrara, you know better than me why you came to this seller.

Conclusion:

In my opinion, the practice of observing thoughts and sensations is the most accessible. You don't need to spend 2-3 hours a day on it. You just need to remember about her more often during the day. When observing yourself, do not look for any special feelings, do not set limits for your observation in advance. Then you will discover something truly new. And to make your work a little easier, in one of the following posts I will tell you how to develop attentiveness to your feelings, how to understand what is blocking your chakras and how to work with these blocks.

Jacob's ladder is the ascent of consciousness along the chakras:

Please note: the icon depicts 6 points from which you can fall, and only one - leading to God.

Muladhara chakra is the center of basic instincts and survival. As a rule, in humans it is quite active. However, the energy in it may be unbalanced. In this article I will tell you how to open and develop the muladhara chakra and restore its functioning.

The root chakra is located in the tailbone area, between the genitals and anus. Incorrect functioning of the first chakra is indicated by anger, aggression, greed, and bitterness. I have already written in more detail about this. Be sure to check it out if you haven't read it yet.

There are several ways to restore the functioning of muladhara. These are meditations, active points, chanting mantras, etc. They will be discussed below.

Each chakra corresponds to special points on the arms and legs, by pressing on which you can awaken the root chakra.

These points are shown in the figure - see photo.

First we will work with the hands. Find the active point on your right hand - it is located on the convex part of the radius bone. Apply light pressure with the thumb of your other hand. Massage it clockwise.

If you experience pain or discomfort, this indicates stagnation of energy in the muladhara chakra.

Massage until the pain goes away, but don't get too carried away. After this, repeat the procedure on your left hand.

Let's move on to working with points on the feet. Here the active points are located on the lower posterior edge of the heel bone. Massage in the same way clockwise, first the right foot, then the left.

This exercise will help open the muladhara chakra if it is blocked and will also help balance it.

Visualization and meditation on the chakra

Let's start meditating on muladhara. Take a comfortable position. It is important that the spine is straight when performing the exercise. That is, you can sit, for example, on the edge of a chair.

Lotus or Turkish pose is not suitable for this exercise.

Direct your attention to the area where the root chakra is located - the base of the spine. A chakra is a spinning funnel of energy, try to imagine it in red. How does energy move?

  • If the movement is even, stable, smooth, then the chakra is working harmoniously.
  • If the movement is impetuous and uneven, this indicates stagnation of energy in muladhara.

Bring your attention to your feet. Through the soles of your feet, inhale pure red light from the earth. Imagine how this light passes through the legs and reaches muladhara. As you exhale, visualize a red column of light radiating from your root chakra into your aura and then back into the earth.

Perform muladhara activation for 5-10 minutes. When finished, direct your attention to the first chakra and try to determine what changes have occurred in its functioning.

Correspondence between chakra and element

In Indian philosophy, it is believed that the entire Universe consists of five primary elements:

  • Earth;
  • Water;
  • Fire;
  • Air;
  • Ether.

The element of Earth is associated with the root chakra, and in the image of the muladhara chakra it is symbolized by a yellow square. The main quality of the Earth is hardness.

The square has 4 sides, they represent the 4 cardinal directions, as well as 4 qualities that are mandatory for a person following the path of spiritual development:

  • directness;
  • honesty;
  • moral;
  • integrity.

Hindus believe that the square symbolizes the stability and order of the Universe. In accordance with this, our life should also be orderly, so we can develop the muladhara chakra and normalize its work.

Think of the Earth element as a living being. She also strives for purification and elevation.

And for this, the Earth needs to get rid of toxins and pollution received from human activities. Mentally send light and love to the Earth.

Let's move on to working with the first chakra through the element of the Earth element.

Meditation

Meditation on the earth element will help in activating the mooladhara chakra. This exercise is best done outside so you can stand on the ground. If you can’t organize it, then you can study at home.

To perform the exercise, stand straight and straighten your shoulders. Breathe in and out rhythmically and relax. Then bring your attention to the soles of your feet.

Visualize yourself growing your roots into the ground through the soles of your feet. Let the Earth nourish you with its energy. This increases your resilience.

After 3-4 minutes, direct your attention to the top of your head. Visualize a white beam of light entering through the top of your head, down your spine, down to your feet, and then into the ground.

Send this life-giving energy to the Earth. In gratitude for the fact that she nourished you. Enjoy the fact that you act as a vessel for the exchange of energies.

Mantra for the first chakra

Working with mantras is directly related to breathing. Therefore, before chanting the mantra, you should perform breathing exercises.

Take a comfortable position, relax, but your spine should remain straight. The lotus position or Turkish pose is best.

For comfort, you can place a small pillow under the buttocks. Concentrate on your breathing. This promotes relaxation and calm.

Now you can start the exercise. Mentally count to 5 and then inhale, then mentally count to 5 again and exhale. Continue breathing for a count of 5.

If it is still difficult for you to hold your breath for so long, then try breathing on a count of 3. Over time, your lung volume will increase slightly, then you will be able to increase the time you hold your breath to 7 seconds.

While breathing, you need to focus on the tip of your nose. Try to feel the temperature change during the moments of inhalation and exhalation. Feel the air entering and exiting through your nostrils.

Continue for 5-10 minutes. After this, focus your attention on the muladhara chakra. Visualize white light entering it as you inhale and purifying it as you exhale. This completes the work with the first chakra on breathing, and we move on to getting acquainted with mantras.

Mantra Lam

Exercises with mantras are performed immediately after breathing practice. The muladhara chakra mantra sounds like “lam”. Her pronunciation has a deep “ah”. The sound “m” should be pronounced slightly “on the nose”. If you have studied English, then you are familiar with this pronunciation - these are words ending in -ing.

Mantras are chanted, here is the sequence of actions:

  1. take a deep breath;
  2. as you exhale, open your mouth and begin to chant the first half of the mantra: “la-a-a-aaa...”;
  3. cover your mouth and sing the ending through your nose: “mm-mm-mm”;
  4. After completing the exhalation, take another breath and repeat the mantra from the beginning.

If you are a little familiar with music and know the musical tones, then try to chant the Lam mantra on the note C. However, this is an optional rule; choose the key that suits you.

Sing softly. You should feel vibrations in the area of the root chakra, this will indicate that the work with the mantra was carried out correctly. To help yourself, concentrate your attention on the first chakra and direct the sound there.

The duration of chanting the muladhara chakra mantra is at least 5 minutes. After completing the exercise, do not get up immediately. Sit for a while and relax. Analyze your condition to see if it has changed after the exercise.

Yantra for Muladhara

Yantra is a sacred, mystical symbol. It serves for concentration and meditation. With regular practice, a person can increase the level of consciousness and develop the muladhara chakra.

Yogis and representatives of other esoteric movements use a variety of yantras. Each of them carries a special energy.

The Muladhara Yantra is a yellow square with a red triangle inside, pointing downwards. Prepare an image for meditation. It is best to print it on a printer or draw it yourself.

Sit in the lotus or Turkish position. Place the yantra so that you can clearly see it. Breathe calmly, you can practice breathing with a delay for a count of 5, as described above.

The exercise is not limited in time, focus on your feelings. Relax and focus your attention on the yantra. Look at the yellow square. It symbolizes the Earth and its solidity.

Think about whether you have an energetic connection with the Earth? Do you have a solid base or foundation from which to begin your journey of spiritual development? If not, then later do the Earth Element Meditation (described above).

The color yellow is associated with intelligence, it will help you find out what changes need to happen in life for your development and self-improvement. In the initial stages of this path, the mind will be your best ally, but later you can rise above the intellect.

Think about the integrity of this symbol and the duality needed to achieve it. Become aware of your own dualism. Think about how balanced your male and female energies are.

How do you divide your time between work and play? Solving problems using logic involves the left hemisphere of the brain, while creative activities use the right hemisphere.

Think about your diet. It must also have harmony and balance to achieve the integrity of the body. Also think about whether you live in harmony with yourself and with other people. What is required for your spiritual development?
