Artik: I chose this profession when I was a child, and I have been working towards it all my life. So I can't even imagine. My parents wanted me to be a lawyer. I have a law degree, but I would not be able to work in this area.

Everything resembled a fairy tale or a dream, the proposal that Yuri made seemed to be a real fantasy, and it completely changed Anna's life. However, more on this later, at first it's time to introduce the second participant.

The second member of the duet, Artem Umrikhin, was born in Zaporozhye, 12/9/1985. He is married and has a son, Ethan.

As a child, Artem did not immediately get carried away with music. He, like his peers, the children of the sunset of the USSR, liked to play football more and preferred to spend a lot of time on the street. But when he got to listen to the cassette "Bachelor Party", which at that time enjoyed great respect and love of fans, Artyom wanted to go up on stage and influence the hearts of people in the same way. Dolphin and Dan - members of the group - read great rap. Of course, this interesting style hooked Artyom in its own way. He was inspired by rap, so the first thing he did was to come up with his own songs and recite them on a tape recorder. The first recordings were not very successful, but such a start determined the further life of Artyom.

By the end of school, he decided to take an interesting step: he assembled the first team, instead of going deep into some other direction, it was called "Karats". Storming local clubs, the team became more and more famous, and soon it occurred to the members of the group to try their own hand in Kiev. The pseudonym Artik appeared in Artyom at the same time, he was quite curious, and sonorous, and almost firmly attached to it.

The first collection of "Carats" appeared in 2004. It was "Platinum Music", and success came to the disc both in Ukraine and in the Russian Federation. Fans of the increasingly popular RnB have appreciated this creation.

The nomination for one of the prestigious Ukrainian awards was not long in coming, and together with it the team received a tempting offer of cooperation from Dmitry Klimashenko, known both as an artist and as a producer. The joint work resulted in the hit "God have mercy", the song attracted even more fans. Artem, of course, tried to consolidate the success with hard work.

By 2008, Karats were nominated as the Best RnB Group in Ukraine, and their permanent leader managed to work with many other artists, for example, Savicheva, Hot Chocolate, Djigan and the Quest Pistols team. The results have always been impressive. Many of the artists who collaborated with him noted his musical and organizational skills, and are ready to work with him again, because they know how high-quality things Artyom gets.

In 2010, the idea appeared to create a new musical project, for this Artik needed a girl. I decided to find the right one on my own, using the Internet. He was very demanding, as his plans and ambitions for a new brainchild were truly ambitious. He needed a vocalist, whose plasticity and voice would be completely atypical, non-standard, and stand out.

So he came across some humble demos from Anna. The girl's voice and good looks made him make a decision, and then he instructed his close friend Yura Barnash to call an unknown performer at that time.

The emergence of the collective

So, in the evening in Anna's apartment the bell rang, which changed her whole life. She was very, very surprised, because the well-known Artik suddenly invited her to Moscow to work on a new project. Who could have believed in such luck? It was incredibly scary, but dreams nevertheless won, and Anna rushed to the capital of Russia, to storm the musical Olympus.

Artik & Asti - then the name was still a little longer - officially started in early 2012. At the same time, the network saw the first video, called "Antistress". Music and lyrics, performance - all this did not disappoint, but views were not too readily recruited. Artyom, of course, could not like it, but it was not in his rules to retreat after the first failure. He saw how talented Anna was, felt that their ambitiousness could lead to success, so he did not pause work on the project.

In 2013, "#RayOdinNaTwoikh" appeared. And this was a breakthrough for the team that was starting its life. The composition "My Last Hope" quickly gained one and a half million views.

Following this, invitations fell upon the team, invited to perform, record and tour. They were even recognized on the streets. But Artik did not allow him to relax, he knew perfectly well that even a week of downtime would give odds to their competitors.

The next album appeared very quickly, which won even greater love, "Here and Now", and when "Number 1" came out, the popularity of the team could no longer be denied. Along with the popularity came awards and Golden Gramophones, as well as other awards.

Artik has not deviated from his favorite script - he continues to collaborate with other artists. For example, the last such exchange of experience was the clip "I smell only you", recorded together with Gluk'oZa. And according to rumors, this cooperation is not going to end.

Rumors and facts

The group Artik and Asti never allowed themselves a close relationship, although the fans talked a lot about it. In their friendship and partnership, there are no glimpses of romance, moreover, for Anna, Artyom is more likely an older brother.

Anna, of course, is very grateful to him, because it was his efforts that led to the fulfillment of the dream that she cherished all her life. Artyom's opinion is extremely important for her, and in many issues she prefers to be guided by his words.

Anna does not yet have an official spouse, she does not want to start a family now, she does not show the fans her young man, although she does not get tired of repeating that he exists.

Artem does not consider it necessary to hide his wife and child. Ramina became his wife in 2016, when the duo toured in Riga. A year later, their child, Ethan, was born.

The new work of the duo "Indivisible", this video immediately gained a lot of views. In addition to studio work and filming, the team tours with pleasure.

The composition, recorded together with Gluk'oZa, helped the team to be nominated for the award as the best creative duet in 2018. In addition, this year the team became the "Best Pop Group" according to Muz-TV.
