On August 3, 2011, at the Rizhsky railway station in Moscow, the grand opening of the Mobile Exhibition and Lecture Complex of Russian Railways OJSC took place, which is a specialized train consisting of 9 exhibition cars demonstrating a wide range of advanced solutions in the field of railway transport, nanotechnology, energy, training of modern personnel.

The train expositions were created with the participation of leading companies on the market of innovative products - OJSC Rusnano, Rosatom State Corporation, and demonstrate the results of cooperation with world leaders in the field of locomotive construction and high-speed traffic.

The exhibition train will run regularly throughout the Russian railway network, and its exposition will be constantly updated, demonstrating the latest solutions used in the process of deep modernization of Russian railways currently underway.

The open joint-stock company "Russian Railways" with the project "Mobile Exhibition and Lecture Complex (PVLC)" became the laureate of the "Time of Innovation - 2011" Award in the category "Best Project to Popularize Innovation Activities."

This demonstration zone covers the history of the development of domestic railway transport from 1837 to 2011. The exhibition includes reproductions of photographs, historical information, and copies of archival documents.

The exposition of the exhibition of this car is dedicated to lighting equipment produced by PHILIPS and some activities of the investment project “Implementation of resource-saving measures in railway transport.”

The exhibits used are samples of products manufactured by PHILIPS for various uses (street lighting, industrial lighting, commercial lighting, office and household lighting, etc.). Operating samples of Russian-made resource-saving equipment supplied to roads as part of the investment project “Implementation of resource-saving measures in railway transport” are also demonstrated here.

To demonstrate a wide range of exhibits, the exhibition area of ​​the carriage is divided into 3 zones:

Car "Automation, telemechanics and communications. Transportation process management"

Here you can get acquainted with the microprocessor auto-locking with tone track circuits (ABTC-MSh), automated workstations of the train dispatcher (Workstation of DSC DC "Setun") and the duty officer at the hump (Workstation DSP-GO), the workstation of the station duty officer (RM DSP) . The mock-up of the workplace for operational dispatch personnel of a hump is equipped with a CACS SP system. The layouts clearly demonstrate how train dispatch communication (PDS circle), train radio communication (PRS circle) and general technological communication are implemented in the train dispatcher's operational technological communication console. A fragment of a collective use board makes it possible to imagine how the transportation control center of the Oktyabrskaya Railway works.

So, everything seen at EXPO-1520 that was not included in the previous two parts. In addition to railways, the exhibition also featured the metro and tram. The tram is not just a tram, but the very one that the first private tram carrier in Russia is going to purchase for operation. Meet the new tram network of St. Petersburg called "Chizhik":

The Stadlerites are not new to our area, and they have already exhibited their products at EXPO - previously they were electric trains and diesel trains. Maybe it’s for the best - it was all rusty a long time ago and doesn’t look its best. But the Moscow Metro brought to the exhibition two cars of the old series - G and D - which looked like new:

Of course, the exhibition was crowded, and it was impossible to photograph most of the exhibits without spectators. Like this EP2D, to show that this is a full-fledged two-car electric train, which we have never produced before - although they traveled in two cars, which then looked like a real perversion:

The international railway salon "EXPO 1520" will be held in the town of Shcherbinka near Moscow on the territory of VNIIZhT and at a unique testing ground for railway transport - the Experimental Ring - with the active participation and support of JSC Russian Railways.

EXPO 1520 is the only international railway Salon in the “1520 space”, where full-scale equipment is demonstrated on the rail bed.

The salon is held every two years, so in 2011, about 200 exhibitors from 12 countries of the world took part, 891 delegates took part in the railway conference, 14,000 people visited the exhibition, including 1,899 representatives of the railway industry.

1000 organizations took part in the IV International Railway Salon EXPO 1520, 74 samples of equipment were presented, and 53 machines could be observed in action. In total, more than 330 exhibiting companies from 25 countries took part in the exhibition. France, Switzerland and the Czech Republic presented joint exhibitions.

127 full-scale samples of rolling stock were demonstrated on the rail track, which allowed JSC Russian Railways to receive a diploma confirming the fact that it was included in the Guinness Book of Records for the largest number of full-scale exhibits exhibited at a railway show in Eastern Europe and the CIS countries.

More than 21,300 visitors to the salon were registered, including almost 8,200 specialists, and about a thousand specialists took part in the business program

More than 25,000 people attended the event in 2017. In total, companies from 26 countries took part in the event; 88 full-scale samples were provided, located on 8,000 sq.m. exposition, that is, on an area of ​​about 10 football fields. During the event, 12 strategically important agreements for the transport industry were signed. About 370 media representatives covered the work of EXPO 1520.

Visitors to the salon could see in motion both historical and the most modern rolling stock used on the railway network of JSC Russian Railways. For the first time, a restored “b” series steam locomotive from 1897 took part in the demonstration, which took place twice a day.

In the first two days of EXPO 1520, on August 30 and 31, the X Anniversary International Conference “Railway Engineering: Prospects, Technologies, Priorities” was held, 14 business formats and more than 20 presentations of Russian and foreign companies were held. The third day of EXPO 1520, September 1, was dedicated to the V International Forum “Transport Science: Innovative Solutions for Business,” which focused on testing railway equipment to ensure its reliability and efficiency.

Today, a parade of trains took place again on the experimental ring, and thousands of people walked along the tracks. The fifth anniversary exhibition of railway equipment and technologies, Expo 1520, has opened. It takes place every two years, which means it can show more new things than annual exhibitions.
