Second breakfast for children. Healthy and tasty breakfasts for a one-year-old child. Milk rice porridge with cranberries

The question “what should I cook for my child for breakfast?” - these are flowers compared to the problem of “how to get him to eat it.”

The need for a hearty breakfast stirs up a mother’s soul, poisoned by advice, newspapers and her own mother. There are more stereotypes about children's breakfasts than healthy recipes. But let us remember that a small child regulates himself perfectly. He wants to eat only when he is hungry, and not when the whole world needs it. That is, he acts correctly and in accordance with all the laws of a healthy life. What the average mother does: she “pushes” the child’s attitudes towards stereotypes. Our society confuses the concepts of “hunger” and “appetite”. Hunger is the body’s natural need to restore strength through food. Appetite is most often a reaction to temptations. You can artificially increase your appetite by placing a bag of candy in front of a person, for example. In this case, there will be no hunger, but only temptation. So our average mother in most cases thinks not about how to satisfy her child’s hunger, but about ways to tempt him with food. And in children, hunger and appetite are in consensus. The same cannot be said about adults, exhausted by advertising, mood swings and the sacred reason for overeating called “just because.”

Why do 90% of children eat so poorly (according to their parents)? Because they have fewer food temptations than adults! And adults mistake the absence of false appetite for the absence of hunger. And they painstakingly teach children to have such an illusory appetite.

We need to clearly distinguish: we feed the child nourishingly - or more or less healthy. Feeding well means inventing ballast. Ballast is considered food that is heavy, fried, chemical, served in excessive quantities. It is also the basis for stereotypes: a child should “not go hungry.” To satisfy this stereotype, children are openly fed: a pile of cookies, just so they can eat something. “At least I ate something” is another mantra for a tired mom. Food is, of course, not an absolute cause of poor health. There are others too. But if a child of any age often eats cookies or “quick cereal” for breakfast, this should be the first thing to take into account at the first signs of weakened immunity, strange abdominal pain, skin problems, frequent colds, increased excitability or poor concentration. If you don't pay attention to the quality of food, don't complain about colds. Anaferon is not a competitor to Cosmostar and cookies.

Let's wake up!

Not a single living creature, waking up from sleep, runs to breakfast. First, it prepares the body for an active day: it will run, sniff, gradually straightening out its feelings and sensations. It’s a rare person who immediately wants to eat after waking up. To “build up” an appetite, rituals have been invented: stretching, showering, exercising, thoughtfully contemplating the brick voids outside the window. And only then the body gives a timid signal “hunger!”

A child has much more to do after waking up. He is sorry to leave sleep, and he clings to the bed in the hope of a lot of attention, and attention arrives: mom spreads her wings and prepares to jump. Take this time for a light massage. Stroke the child's shoulders, back, legs, rub his feet, massage his fingers. Come up with a special morning song, a tongue twister, so that the child gets used to it. There are a lot of options, even crookedly, but their relatives. The main thing is positive intonations. We massaged them - we go (and carry someone) to wash and get dressed. Some children need a longer break - to play, to think. And only now we go to the kitchen, where it’s already ready on the table...

Proper breakfast

Many parents who complain that their child does not eat well in the morning do not notice the thousands of habitual phenomena that turn a good breakfast into a bad one. If the breakfast process is filmed and viewed, these habits will be clearly visible:

  • Everyone around is in a hurry, throwing out phrases “eat faster,” no one pays attention to food, but adults are the child’s primary authority: “Since no one wants it, then I won’t either.” If the child does not want to eat breakfast, you will have to pay attention to him. There is nothing worse than food eaten with disgust, in a hurry or under duress. It is not absorbed, does not bring benefit to the body and lays the foundation for further psychosomatic illnesses.
  • The child knows that he can easily beg for something “tastier” than porridge, because the mother has already agreed more than once. If you press further, he will agree again. The child pushed, begged for a sandwich or a cookie, was not left “hungry”, put a tick in the “fed” line. The next morning we get the same whining about “I don’t want anything.” Do you think that a person must be hungry after a night out? But a hungry person will eat everything they give. Doesn't want = not hungry.

If a child is capricious in the morning, let him fast, don’t be nervous, don’t show anxiety. There is no need to force anything into the child to satisfy the stereotype “you need to eat something in the morning.” Cookies, sweets, dry foods on an empty stomach weaken. Eating while listening to TV, a book, mom’s dancing and imperfect singing weakens you. If he didn’t want to eat in the morning, he’ll eat a second breakfast in 1.5-2 hours. You went to kindergarten/school hungry, and there you were hungry and in pain - analyze what you are doing wrong.

The reasons for lack of appetite in the morning (before 11-12 o'clock) are:

Feeding “pieces” for dinner, a heavy (meat) dinner, gastrointestinal diseases, lack of sleep, incorrect parental behavior that disrupts food interest; psychological problems in the child (or in the family). And the most common reason is tasteless food. And ALL food cannot be tasteless. A child who constantly complains that it “doesn’t taste good” lacks attention - or his food preferences were disrupted much earlier.

And the ideal breakfast food, of course, remains...

Porridge!

Of course, the best porridge is made from whole grains. But we don’t always have time to prepare just such porridge. Tip: soak any cereal the night before. Most likely, you won’t even need to cook it in the morning. Cereal flakes are grain that has been flattened, overdried, and so on, as long as it has not been abused. But there is nothing wrong with eating cereal. They're just less useful. The main thing is that the flakes are “live”, that is, without additives.

The healthiest cereals are buckwheat, rice and oatmeal. If a child likes no more than two types of cereals, be glad that he eats cereals in the morning at all; this tradition is beginning to fade in the light of the expanded range of processed foods.

How to cook porridge correctly:

Rice. For a glass of rice - 1.5 glasses of water. Cover with a tight lid to prevent steam from escaping. Cook for exactly 12 minutes. First, cook over high heat, after two minutes - on moderate, and finally on low. Do not stir! Then remove the rice from the heat and let it brew for the same amount of time.

Buckwheat. Sugar should not be added to buckwheat porridge; it neutralizes the numerous beneficial properties of this cereal. It also spoils buckwheat and milk. Buckwheat is cooked in a 1:2 ratio with water under a tight lid. After boiling, cook over moderate heat until the water is completely absorbed. You should not stir during the cooking process.

Millet. For 2 cups of millet - 1 teaspoon of salt and 2-3 tbsp. spoons of butter. Pour 4 cups of water into a saucepan, add a tablespoon of oil and salt. When the water boils, add the pre-washed millet and cook until thickened. After this, the porridge should be left for an hour to rest. Add 1-2 tbsp to the prepared porridge. spoons of oil and stir.

All types of cereals - except buckwheat and rice! - only need to be placed in boiling water. This improves the taste. Another “grandmother’s” method: cook the porridge until half cooked, drain the water and add milk, butter, and other additives. Leave to swell, wrapped in a towel. Rice, barley and millet are washed with warm and even hot water before cooking to separate starch and fat. We cook any porridge in water, and add heated milk only for taste. If milk needs to be boiled, boil it separately, but not for long. When boiling, the structure of milk protein is disrupted, turning milk into an indigestible product. It is not useful for either children or adults. Therefore, the method of cooking porridge directly in milk is becoming a thing of the past. However, it appeared recently in the past - our grandmothers also did not boil milk and cereals, all the cereals were baked in the stove, and then diluted with milk.

Semolina porridge is not consumed more than once a week. Most children love it for its delicate structure, but, unfortunately, semolina more suitable for fattening than feeding, contains a minimum of nutrients and a maximum of starch.

In fact, semolina is a by-product formed during the production of wheat flour. After grinding, 2% of small fragments of grain always remain, which are only slightly larger than flour dust - this is semolina. Fans of semolina porridge do not realize that there are three types of semolina on sale, which differ slightly in their harmfulness. The most unhealthy and most common is made from soft varieties of wheat. On the packaging it is indicated by the code “brand M” or simply the letter “M”, which tells the buyer little. The best semolina, but not always the tastiest, is made from durum wheat and is designated by the letter “T”. And semolina with “MT” on the package is neither this nor that, a mixture of soft and hard wheat (the latter should be at least 20%). Why we invented such a label that is incomprehensible to consumers, one can only guess. But not only that, even this information is often not indicated on the packaging..

It is advisable not to aggravate the unhealthy properties of semolina by improper cooking. Boil it for no more than a minute, then leave it to swell for 15-20 minutes so that it does not continue to swell in the child’s stomach.

What can be added to any porridge:

Spices: anise, star anise, cinnamon, vanilla or barberry on the tip of a knife. Put marmalade in the porridge - this will improve the taste and enrich the dish with pectin. Make zest from citrus peels and grind it into powder; the zest perfectly flavors the porridge. Dried fruits, honey, and vegetables are also classically added. Buckwheat porridge is combined with beets and absolutely any other vegetables. Here is an interesting recipe for real royal porridge:

Millet porridge with vegetables and berries:

Boil the millet (about 1 cup of dry cereal), being careful not to boil it into a sticky porridge, adding salt. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan with high sides. Place peeled and diced carrots (2 medium-sized carrots) into the pan. Add diced pumpkin to it. Simmer (without adding water) under the lid. When the carrots and pumpkin become soft, add millet to them. What adds piquancy to the dish:

1) Walnuts. They need to be broken into small pieces and added to the pan after the pumpkin. Stew nuts together with vegetables.

2) Apples, peeled and cut into cubes. We also simmer along with the vegetables, adding them to the pan last. But there is one caveat with apples: add them if you are preparing the dish for one time. After storing in the refrigerator and reheating, the apples become soggy.

Grain casseroles

Casseroles are additional heat treatment of dishes, sometimes already prepared. In addition, they put incompatible foods, sugar, and so on. Therefore, their benefits are minimal, but they diversify the diet - and are simply very tasty, you can pamper your family with them for breakfast on the weekend. Here are some quick recipes:

Rice casserole with fruits:

Add salt, sugar, one egg to the finished rice porridge and mix. Then place half of the resulting mass onto a frying pan greased with oil and sprinkled with breadcrumbs. On its leveled surface place fresh peeled apples and pears cut into small cubes, which are covered with the remaining porridge on top. Grease the surface of the casserole with a mixture of eggs (two) and sour cream and bake it in the oven.

Milk - 0.75 l, rice - 1 glass, granulated sugar - 2 tbsp. spoons, eggs - 3 pcs., melted butter - 1 tbsp. spoon, ground crackers - l tbsp. spoon, sour cream - 1 tbsp. spoon, fruit - 100 g, salt - to taste.

Buckwheat casserole with cottage cheese:

Porridge is cooked from buckwheat in milk. Add sour cream, beaten eggs, sugar, salt to the well-pounded cottage cheese and mix. Place the porridge on a baking sheet greased with butter (20 g) and sprinkled with ground breadcrumbs, level it, put a layer of cottage cheese on top, pour over melted butter (40 g). ) and bake for 30 minutes in the oven. The finished casserole is cut into squares, placed on a dish, poured with melted butter (40 g) and served.

Buckwheat - 1 glass, milk, half diluted with water - 0.5 l, cottage cheese - 300 g, sour cream - 7 g glass, eggs - 2 pcs., granulated sugar - 1 tbsp. spoon, butter - 100 g, ground crackers - 10 g, salt - to taste.

Oatmeal casserole with apple:

Cut the apples into large slices and sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Cream butter and sugar, add flakes, mix and place on apples. Bake for 20-30 minutes at 200C.

Apples - 500g, sugar - 2 tbsp, cinnamon - to taste, butter - 75g, sugar - 1/2 cup, oatmeal - 1.5 cups.

What to replace porridge with?

This eternal question torments those mothers whose children do not like to eat porridge in the morning. There are many replacement options. Any product can only be spoiled by improper cooking. Eating pasta in the morning is not harmful if you cook it wisely. Food that needs to be pre-cooked and not just “filled with water, milk or juice” is good for breakfast, and there is no point in arguing about its harmfulness if the replacement is “quick breakfasts” or buns.

Pasta. The main thing is not to overcook. Pasta should be cooked in a large amount of water, that is, it should float freely in the water. For a standard pack (450 g) we use 3-4 liters of water. Place pasta only in boiling water and stir during cooking. There is a golden rule: "10-100-1000". It means that for every 100 g of pasta you need 1 liter of water and 10 g of salt. Ideally cooked pasta should be firm to the bite, then all the beneficial substances will remain intact. Subtract one minute from the cooking time recommended on the package. Pasta is also used to make casseroles by filling them with eggs and cream.

What you can add: grated cheese, dried herbs, grated carrots, sweet corn and peas, frozen vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli, corn).

"Oriental" noodles. Everyone loves pasta, but you shouldn’t give it for breakfast more than once a week. It is better to pay attention to buckwheat and rice noodles. Buckwheat and rice noodles are combined with cheese, cottage cheese, vegetables, and eggs. Decorate the dish with quail eggs and carrot sticks. All this is quick to prepare and very useful. If you have a bunch of lettuce leaves in the house, place “oriental” types of noodles on the leaves, the dish will take on a truly chic look. Perhaps the child will also chew the greens.

Recipe for a “restaurant” breakfast for an omnivorous child: cook buckwheat noodles, steam frozen spinach separately. Place noodles and spinach on a plate, topped with sour cream and sprinkled with sesame seeds. You can make the same casseroles from rice, buckwheat or egg noodles as from regular pasta.

Milk soup. To maintain its usefulness, it is cooked like porridge: pasta or vegetables in boiling water, and milk is added after readiness. In addition to noodles, milk soup is seasoned with grated carrots, corn kernels, rice, finely chopped cauliflower or broccoli.

Omelet from chicken or quail eggs. Omelette is a heavy dish, so they serve it for breakfast no more than twice a week. Grated carrots, corn or boiled rice, and herbs are added to the omelet, as well as to the milk soup.

Vegetable breakfast. Boiled cauliflower, Brussels sprouts or broccoli with cheese or butter, green beans, casseroles and omelets made from the same cabbage and beans. Vegetables that you definitely shouldn’t eat for breakfast: potatoes, beets. They will irritate the “morning” stomach and bring a feeling of heaviness. Salads from fresh vegetables can and should be included in breakfast if the child likes them. Save cucumbers and tomatoes for lunch; in the morning we eat carrots, cabbage (any kind) in combination with an apple and dried fruits. Filling: oil, lemon juice. To make sure your child likes the salad, chop it into thin strips or use a coarse grater.

Lighter breakfast option: boiled eggs, yoghurts and fruits, sandwiches made from dried bread or crispbread. Choose yogurts that are as “live” as possible. Until recently, in our city only the products of the Uktus dairy plant were considered “alive,” but recently fruit yoghurts from Kushva and Irbit with a shelf life of 5-7 days have appeared on the shelves.

A collection of ideas:

Airplane breakfast. This is when you put a little bit of everything on a plate. Useful for picky children: they will try something out of interest. We boil quail eggs, cut the carrots into thin sticks, peel and cut the apple and banana into pieces, spread the bread with curd cheese or feta cheese - in a word, put different pieces into a plate and play breakfast in a Turkish hotel.

Rescue balls. Roll boiled rice or buckwheat into balls and pour melted butter or low-fat sour cream or fruit puree over them. It's a five-minute job. Depending on the age of the child, we add chopped egg or grated cheese, cottage cheese, finely chopped dried fruits to the balls - the imagination is limitless. You can make a surprise filling (prunes or dried apricots inside). Or roll the balls in beaten egg (breadcrumbs) and place in the oven for 2-3 minutes.

Baked fruits. Bake a couple of apples or pears with cottage cheese and honey in the core.

Stuffed eggs, tomatoes. “Minced meat” can be quite simple: cheese + cottage cheese, cottage cheese with herbs, even black crackers soaked in water (by the way, it’s delicious).

What else can you do to diversify your breakfast: sliced fruit topped with yogurt, a milkshake (drinking yogurt without additives) with banana and frozen berries.

Wrong breakfasts

The body is tender and picky in the morning, it has gotten rid of toxins, it has rested, straightened out and stretched towards the sun. He's not ready for cookies. To bad flour, flavorings, raising agents, dyes. He will have to deal with unpleasant food, which will lead to fatigue, short temper and other changes in mood and health as they accumulate.

So, we consider it the wrong breakfast for a child...

"Quick breakfasts." Glazed flakes, rings, stars, etc. This “porridge replacement” is not even partially complete. The same complaints apply to muesli with dried fruits and nuts, boiled and dried beyond recognition and treated with sulfur for color. There is only one name for the cereal, no matter what the advertising on the packaging comes up with. And the vitamins are all artificial, because they were “lost” in the process of barbaric processing. Millions are earned from the sale of “quick breakfasts”; there are a great many “temptations” on the packaging. Interestingly, the packaging clearly indicates that the product belongs to baby food, but there is no special labeling. This means that the composition can contain anything. Artificial food additives are found in product examinations in ALL “fast breakfast” products without exception. They do not contain any natural honey, but they contain up to 50% sugar and 2% salt, which perfectly suppress the absorption of the declared splendor of vitamins.

There is no need to give your child star rings with milk in the morning. You never know that this is how they eat in Western films and TV series. This is just a stereotype imposed by advertising. Cereals with milk are ballast. The effect that weakens the body is stronger than the effect that maintains strength. The healthiest component of such a breakfast is milk. Well, give your child a glass of milk. No cereal. Why the body should absorb hydrogenated fats, starch, emulsifiers and dyes in the morning is unclear. If the child really asks for “rings”, give them out for dessert after lunch. But there is no need to ruin the start of the day with them.

Fried food, hot sandwiches. They also weaken the body in the morning. Instead of starting the metabolism, they hit the pancreas.

There are other dishes, quite healthy, that are not advisable for breakfast. For example, cottage cheese. Children under 3-5 years old are given it in the morning in thermalized form (casserole, cheesecakes). Cottage cheese is an acidic product, the body is not ready to accept it in the morning- there are many cases when children are “poisoned” with fresh cottage cheese due to inability to digest it. Kefir is also not suitable, but yogurt is perfect - the product is softer. We know that cottage cheese is saturated with calcium, but calcium is a capricious evening-night element, so we leave cottage cheese for afternoon snacks and dinner. The third reason: cottage cheese does not provide a complete breakfast; it is not food, but an additive to food. And if cottage cheese is mixed with sour cream and sugar, its benefits generally drop to zero. Dishes made from thermized cottage cheese are not very healthy, but they are tasty, and many children adore them. For example, an old “mother’s” dish...

"Lazy Snowflakes":

200 gr. cottage cheese, 1 egg, 2 tsp. semolina, 1 tbsp. l. sugar, a little frozen or fresh berries. Vanillin (optional), but it will be more flavorful.

Grind the cottage cheese with the yolk. Add whipped egg white, semolina, sugar, mix. Take the resulting mass one spoon at a time and place it in salted boiling water until the cheesecakes float to the surface. You can also make a “sausage” out of it and cut the pieces “on the bias.” We choose drier cottage cheese for “snowflakes”. Instead of semolina, you can use oatmeal. If the cheesecakes fall apart, add flour. Sugar is optional. Before serving, pour over the fruit puree.

What to cook for a 1 year old child for breakfast? How to make it useful, and even please the fussy little one? We’ll suggest a few simple recipes for dishes that won’t take up a lot of mom’s time and will definitely please the baby.

Features of the diet of a one-year-old child

The second year of life is a kind of turning point in the baby’s transition to the “adult” type of nutrition. Therefore, it is even more complex and responsible than the first 12 months. Why?

  1. It would seem that the volume of the stomach is already large and can sometimes accommodate even dad’s portion (depending on the mood). But at the same time, pediatricians recommend sparing the still imperfect digestive system and limiting yourself to 250 ml. After all, an overstretched stomach cannot actively contract and push the food bolus into the duodenum. Therefore, when overfeeding, you can easily provoke profuse vomiting, or even habitual vomiting that causes a lot of trouble for parents.
  2. The child already has from 4 to 10 teeth, with which he bites household members very well. But it lasts up to 2 years, while the molars, intended for chewing food, usually appear only after one and a half years. Try it yourself, can you thoroughly chew a piece of seemingly soft chicken with only your front teeth? But this is one of the main principles of preventing the occurrence of acute and chronic inflammation of the gastric mucosa - gastritis. Therefore, the mother needs to adapt to the capabilities of her tooth: food must be ground.
  3. In the second year of life, you need to accustom the baby to the new consistency of food. After all, out of habit, any lump, even the smallest one, at first causes a reflex irritation of the back wall of the throat and can provoke vomiting. It will take patience, perseverance and ingenuity for your baby to finally enjoy eating solid foods.
  4. How I want to seat a child at the common family table! But there is no need to rush! After all, he is still unfamiliar with “adult” bad habits: over-salting, smoked foods, fried or flavored dishes with hot spices. For the still immature digestive tract, this will be tasty, but a very difficult test. Therefore, the whole family can eat at the same time - but the baby must have his own food.
  5. In the first half of life, it is advisable to maintain 5 meals a day, waiting for the moment when the little one refuses one feeding. It is very important to follow a meal plan. This helps improve the functions of the digestive glands of the stomach and intestines and improves appetite. What does a mother need to be happy? That's right - when her child happily devours both cheeks.
  6. In the second year of life, the child already begins to develop taste preferences. Unfortunately, at this age you shouldn’t even try to explain the beneficial properties of the product or appeal to the little tyrant’s not yet awakened conscience. And force-feeding unloved foods only perpetuates aversion to them, to the point of vomiting just from the sight or smell of them. And here everything comes in handy: turning eating into a fun game, a positive example from parents or older brothers and sisters, original decoration and changing the cooking recipe in such a way as to “hide” the unloved component. And one more tip: this dish should be the first, while the baby is still hungry and not so picky. But you need to remember: often the reason for rejection of a certain group of foods is a congenital deficiency of the enzyme responsible for its digestion or assimilation. Therefore, if you stubbornly refuse certain foods, it is better to consult a pediatrician.

What should a toddler's breakfast be like?

What to cook for a 1 year old child for breakfast? A volume of about 250 ml needs to contain at least 25% of the daily energy requirement so that it is enough for the little fidget not only for games, but also for active growth. At the same time, it is desirable that the baby receives a sufficient amount of slowly released carbohydrates for brain development and animal proteins. Therefore, the optimal starting products for breakfast are various cereals, cottage cheese (up to 60 grams per day), pasta and durum wheat flour, sour cream, butter, milk, fruits and some vegetables (pumpkin, carrots). In addition, in the morning it is recommended to give those foods that excite the nervous system and can cause sleep disturbances: eggs, cheese, honey.

To prepare a healthy breakfast for a 1-year-old child, you need to have a sieve, a saucepan, a stove with oven, and a frying pan in the kitchen (but use it as little as possible, only for frying). Modern achievements of technological progress will greatly facilitate mother’s work and speed up the process. Therefore, a double boiler, microwave oven, multicooker, mixer, chopper, blender will not be superfluous.

Healthy Breakfast Recipes

Porridge.

The most useful are buckwheat, millet, rice, and multigrain. Pearl barley is not recommended due to difficulties in absorption. You should not overuse semolina, which can cause allergies, anemia, and metabolic disorders in the form of paratrophy. Porridge is cooked from whole grains or flakes to save time. To improve the taste, you can add butter to the cooking water, and when fully cooked, pour in a little milk and boil.

To make the porridge more beneficial, add a choice of:

  • pulp of grated raw or oven- or microwave-baked apple;
  • any children's canned fruit puree;
  • fresh or frozen fruits or berries crushed in a blender;
  • fruit jam or marmalade;
  • juice of carrots, cherries, blueberries, strawberries will make the porridge colored, and therefore even more attractive;
  • puree from pumpkin, carrots or carrot-pumpkin. To do this, finely chop the vegetables, boil until tender in water, and add a little milk at the end of cooking. Then beat until foam forms and mix with porridge.

Omelette.

Beat one raw chicken egg (for allergies or hypovitaminosis - 3 quail eggs) with a whisk, gradually adding fresh milk in a ratio of 1:2. Add finely chopped dill, you can also add parsley, a quarter teaspoon of butter. Cook in the microwave for 2-2.5 minutes.

The omelette is perfectly complemented by peeled and crushed tomatoes or cucumbers. Gradually, you can begin to grate them and then cut them into small pieces. Can be combined with vegetable puree, finely chopped salad of raw or boiled vegetables.

Pasta.

Well, how can you not take advantage of the variety of their shapes and sizes! You can quickly prepare several independent dishes from pasta boiled in water:

  • sprinkle with grated hard cheese;
  • add butter and sugar;
  • pour gravy from a pinch of flour boiled in milk with sugar or thick berry jelly;
  • add canned baby fruit puree as a dressing.

Cottage cheese.

Whipped into an airy paste or in its natural form for children in the second half of the year, it will strengthen teeth and bones, support the immune system and help normalize body weight if it is deficient. And in combination with sour cream it will be an ideal source of energy. Since it is not recommended to abuse it, you need to add 100 grams to 50-60 grams of cottage cheese:

  • cooked porridge (mix or beat well);
  • fresh fruits or berries, blended or grated;
  • children's canned fruit puree;

Puddings.

This is an ideal option for picky little picky eaters. Semi-liquid milk porridge (any cereal) must be mixed with ready-made fruit or vegetable puree (soft fruit pulp, baked apple, boiled pumpkin or carrot), egg yolk, warm milk, sugar, butter. Stir, add egg white and beat in a blender or mixer until a fluffy homogeneous mass is formed. Pudding cooked in the microwave or in a double boiler will look like a soft soufflé, suitable even for a toothless baby. And if you bake it in the oven, you will get a denser cake for a child in the second half of life. It can be decorated with fruit or whipped cream.

Syrniki.

The standard set for their preparation includes cottage cheese, flour, and egg. But you can make them more varied and useful:

  • replace part or all of the flour with semolina, millet or buckwheat flakes. You just need to let the dough stand for 20 minutes for the cereal to swell;
  • add raisins, dried apricots, dried prunes, steamed and whipped in a blender to the dough;
  • lightly fry the cheesecakes in a frying pan and cook them in a double boiler or microwave until ready;
  • before serving, draw a smiling face on them with sour cream or make rays of sunshine on the plate with honey or berry jam;
  • pour jelly from berry or fruit juice.

“Lazy” dumplings.

Semi-liquid dough is made from cottage cheese or paste, flour and eggs. You can add the same healthy ingredients as in the cheesecake dough. Sugar or salt, if necessary, is added immediately or in the gravy when serving. Place the dough into boiling water using a teaspoon. Readiness – a minute after the lumps emerge. Do not overcook, otherwise they will boil or become hard. Remove with a slotted spoon and immediately place on a plate. The child will eat them with pleasure if they are topped with sour cream or fruit puree.

Pancakes.

Thick with kefir or thin with fresh milk, they are always loved by children. We recommend adding cottage cheese or curd paste to the dough, pumpkin and carrots boiled in water and blended in a blender, grated fresh apples, raisins steamed and chopped in a chopper, prunes and dried apricots. You can serve them with sour cream, honey, jam, jelly.

For normal functioning of the digestive glands, water is required. Therefore, children of the second year of life must be given compote, weak tea, fruit juice, jelly, cocoa for breakfast (in the absence of allergies). The only exceptions are those meals where only fresh milk, kefir or adapted milk formula is consumed.

Bon appetit and good health to the little one!

Mothers often face the question of what to cook for breakfast for their children. Both preschoolers and schoolchildren are often picky eaters. They turn away with disgust from a plate of oatmeal and turn up their noses at cottage cheese. What to do in this case? Of course, come up with new dishes, imagine and experiment.

Many mothers, due to lack of time, follow the lead of their children and give them the right to make independent choices. Those, without thinking twice, most often have breakfast with cereal drenched in milk or prefer not to have breakfast at all. It is important to choose and prepare the right foods for breakfast for children that are well digestible, do not cause a feeling of heaviness, and fill the child’s body with the vitamins and microelements it needs.

Dishes made from cereals, eggs, cottage cheese, milk are just what you need, and vegetables, fruits and herbs added to them during the cooking process not only fill the prepared dishes with new tastes, but also make familiar dishes almost unrecognizable. There are a lot of options for healthy and tasty combinations. You have a great opportunity to verify this by preparing breakfast for children from the recipes we offer.
