The State Music College of Variety and Jazz Art is one of the first specialized educational institutions on the territory Russian Federation, who are engaged in the preparation of students in the field of pop and jazz arts.

The educational institution was formed on the basis of the music departments of two educational institutions: the State Music School named after the Gnessins and the Music School named after the October Revolution.

The educational process at the school is conducted in accordance with the state educational standards of vocational training, including in the specialty "Variety music (by type)". In this direction, it is practiced to recruit students for training in both basic and advanced profiles.

The State Musical College of Variety and Jazz Art has two main areas of training for artists - vocal and instrumental performance. The school trains singers on the specialization "Pop Singing". Instrumentalists, on the other hand, can choose directions in the specialization "Instruments of a pop orchestra" (guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, wind instruments, percussion instruments, piano). In addition, on an advanced training profile, students receive a qualification that allows them to work as teachers of musical art, as well as leaders of vocal and instrumental groups. Education in all specialties in the educational institution is carried out both on a budgetary and on a contractual basis.

The State Musical College of Variety and Jazz Arts has an extensive material and technical base, which includes equipped classrooms, a recording studio, concert hall, library, video library and music library. Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Secondary Vocational Education "State Music College of Variety and Jazz Art (Technical School)" (GMUEDI) is located in cultural center Moscow Zamoskvorechye. Not far from the school are the House-Estate of A.N. Ostrovsky, Tretyakovskaya state gallery, the pedagogical library named after KD Ushinsky, the Martha-Mariinsky monastery, city estates and residential buildings with shops of the 18th-19th centuries have been preserved. Since 1918, this building has housed the Musical College named after the October Revolution.

The school was formed on the basis of the variety departments of two educational institutions - the State Music School named after the Gnessins and the Music School named after the October Revolution. Nowadays, GMUEDI is the only specialized educational institution in Russia in the field of pop and jazz art. The school trains artists (singers and instrumentalists), teachers, leaders of instrumental and vocal groups.

Conditions of admission

The school accepts citizens who have musical data, have a general education of at least 9 grades of secondary school and have successfully passed the entrance examinations.

Acceptance of documents

Applicants to the State Musical College of Variety and Jazz Arts submit the following documents to the selection committee:

  • application form (according to the form);
  • a photocopy of your passport or other document proving your identity and citizenship;
  • state-recognized educational document (original or photocopy);
  • photographs 3x4;

Applicants in the order of transfer from an institution of secondary vocational education of the corresponding profile to senior courses submit a certificate from the place of study, 6 3x4 photographs, a certified copy of the certificate and a document proving identity and citizenship.

In the application, applicants must indicate the required information:

  • surname, first name and patronymic (the latter - if available);
  • Date of Birth;
  • details of the identity document and citizenship;
  • information about the previous level of education and the educational document confirming it;
  • specialty, specialization and form of education (within the framework of admission quotas or to places under contracts with payment of tuition fees);
  • the need to provide a hostel;

The application also records the fact of familiarization (including through public information systems) with copies of the license to exercise educational activities, certificates of state accreditation and annexes to them. The fact of acquaintance is certified by the applicant's personal signature.

The applicant's signature is also certified for the receipt of secondary vocational education for the first time and familiarization with the date of the applicant's submission of the original document on education.

Applicants who have submitted incomplete information provided for by these Rules to the selection committee, and (or) information that does not correspond to reality, the selection committee has the right to refuse to accept documents.

Applicants have the right to apply for participation in the competition for places funded from the budget, and for places under contracts with tuition fees, as well as for both specializations at the same time.

An application for admission and other necessary documents can be sent by applicants through operators postal service common use. When sending documents by mail, the applicant attaches to the application photocopies of documents proving his identity and citizenship, education certificate, as well as other documents, if necessary.

Upon personal presentation of the original documents by the applicant, their photocopies can be certified by the members of the admissions (technical) committee.
