V this lesson used watercolors and white gouache for snow, as well as material for watercolors such as masking fluid. You can replace it with masking tape, I think, although I have not tried it, or simply when filling the sheet with water - do not wet the area with the titmouse!
First step.
We take a thick sheet of paper for watercolor and simple pencil we draw where we will have a titmouse - schematically, only an outline, without drawings. And draw a rowan branch on which the bird sits. 
Second phase.
Those parts of the picture that should remain light can be covered with a special masking liquid, it is used in watercolor painting... As I wrote earlier, you can do without it, but it will be more difficult to draw the background, which requires a completely wet sheet, drawing technique: “on wet”. It can be applied with an old brush, it is quite liquid (mine has dried out a little), after drying it becomes rubbery and is removed from the sheet with a film. 
Stage three.
We moisten the entire sheet with water on both sides, if you do not have a masking liquid - the part where the titmouse is left dry, and the mountain ash can be painted with white gouache.
When the whole sheet is covered with water, you can add colors, for the sky I used blue paint, and for the lower part of the background - green, dark green, blue and dark blue.
We paint from light to dark. First pale tones of paint, then more saturated. 
Stage four.
As it starts to dry a little with a cotton swab, you can apply it to the sheet - we remove the paint, thereby making snow, and then cotton swab v white paint and make snow again.
Fifth stage.
We draw a branch (dark blue), remove the masking liquid film and draw rowan, or take gouache and draw rowan with it - this paint is denser and overlaps the watercolor. 
Sixth stage.
Actually the final one - we draw the titmouse itself. The colors used are blue, yellow and black.

Let's draw a titmouse. But first, let's think: why did the choice fall on her? Probably for a reason. On the one hand, titmouses have a hard time in winter, like many other small and large birds. This consideration may be partly justified by our choice. On the other hand, the titmouse is a common and very characteristic bird. Whoever has seen a titmouse at least once will never confuse it with anyone.
Here I offer you a rather interesting idea: it is easier and more pleasant to draw something very typical, characteristic. I'm not sure if it is so possible to draw a fin whale and vomit so that they can be identified, but draw a sperm whale and a fin whale - and everyone will understand who is who. It's the same here. If we set ourselves the goal of depicting a titmouse (and not a bird in general), then anyone, looking at our picture, will exclaim: oh, it's a titmouse! Thus, we will ACHIEVE THE PURPOSE SET, and this is a lot! To achieve this goal, you need to imagine how the result will look like. How does the titmouse differ from similar in size and partly in the way of life of urban birds, sparrow, wagtail and bullfinch?
The color scheme comes to mind first. But not only. Pay attention to how powerful the body of the tit is: it is noticeably more massive than that of a sparrow and even more so for a wagtail. There is almost no neck, the head is large, the legs and tail are not too long. In winter, the titmouse's chest is always fluffy, probably for warmth, and she herself is all gathered into a ball, sitting on a maple branch. So we will draw it. A titmouse sits on a twig and waits for us to put bacon in the feeder attached to the windowsill. We have a whole flock of tits in our yard, they got into the habit of sitting under our window, waiting for fat from us, and we, in turn, are used to watching them. I must say right away that we will draw a bird, of course, right along with the branch, and the ends of the branch will (as in our picture) go off the frame: this will show that we are true to the principle of reality and the branch is real and not imaginary. So let's move on to the lesson - how to draw a titmouse.
We draw a titmouse in stages - lesson 1
The bird is positioned three quarters in relation to the observer. Of course, the most important thing is her powerful torso and her sore head, pulled into her shoulders from the cold. Pay attention to the head-back-tail line, it is not quite straight, the tail is slightly raised relative to the back, the head is separated from the back by a small notch. The beak is small and straight. The forehead can be said to be generally convex. The chest is so fluffy that it protrudes forward.
The legs are short with thin toes. They are half hidden in the fluff on the abdomen. The tail is narrow and in our picture it continues the midline of the torso.
Well, the bird is ready, now it's time to give it the features of a titmouse, due to coloring. Here I want to go for a little trick. Describe the pattern in detail and color range I will not: look at our titmouse, look at the titmouse on your windowsill and get yourself an accurate and realistic idea of its coloring. How to draw a titmouse with a pencil step by step
Step one. Mentally mark the top of the head and from it we begin to gently move the pencil to the left and then down. We pause on the beak, draw it as shown in the picture.
Step two. Under the beak with short strokes, thus making the effect of plumage, show the bird's neck. We continue the same short lines and go into a lush breast, it protrudes forward relative to the neck. Gradually round off the contour and move on to the abdomen. Now let's go back to the top of the head and draw a line to the right and down to the neck. You can draw a broken line. At the level of the convex chest, we make a bend to the right and again go down, drawing the contour of the body. We show a relatively long tail, and two legs under the abdomen. Starting just below chest level, draw a dashed line - draw a wing. A vertical line divides it approximately in half. This is in accordance with the color of the tit. Step three. We draw a black eye - a bead. Under it, starting from the beak, draw the outline of the cheek and leave it white, unpainted. With the help of strong enough pressure on the pencil, shade a black stripe-collar around the neck. From it we outline a "tie" down to the abdomen. Our lines should be along the plumage to make it look more realistic. The area above the nose and above the cheek is also hatched along the plumage. Draw a titmouse not that difficult. Let's try to draw something like this small titmouse.
We take pencils and paper. Or paints, if you are friends with them. We apply the first strokes: draw an oval and quot with a simple pencil; draw out from it a beak and a tail. We paint on the body of the oval a wing and two legs.
Now we apply strokes to highlight the areas for coloring - we paint the head of our titmouse in a dark color, apply strokes - imitation of feathers, as well as the plumage of the tail. You can shade the collar area. We make the lines smooth, soft, arcs. We draw an eye - it is round and dark.

First step. Mentally mark the top of the bird's head. From it, carefully draw to the left and down with a pencil. Let's dwell on the beak. We carefully draw it.
Second step. Show the titmouse's neck under the beak - with short strokes, making the effect of plumage. Next, we move on to the breast, which protrudes slightly forward relative to the neck. Gradually round off the contour, move on to the abdomen. We return back to the top of the head, draw a line to the right and down - to the neck. It can be drawn intermittently.
At chest level - slightly convex - make a fold to the right. We go down again, continuing to draw the contours of the body. Show a dashed line just below the thoracic level - this is the wing. It will be divided approximately in half by a vertical line in accordance with the color of the tit.
Step three. Let's draw a black eye bead. Draw a contour under it, starting from the beak. This is the cheek. We leave it unpainted, white. Pressing firmly on the pencil, shade a black strip around the neck - a collar. From it down we outline a tie, closer to the abdomen. Leave the top of the head light, unpainted. This will create a shine effect. We hatch the areas under the beak and above the cheek as if along the plumage to make it more realistic. We paint with paints
