How to draw a strawberry: step by step instructions and a detailed description. How to draw a strawberry with a pencil step by step How to draw a strawberry

Before you eat strawberries - draw them! And then you can get double pleasure. We publish step by step master class from the book "Portraits of Fruits and Vegetables" by Billy Showell. This practical guide to watercolor painting will allow both beginners and experienced artists to plunge into the genre of modern botanical illustration and learn to see beauty even in the most ordinary berry.

Lift ing preparation is a special agent for applying to paper before starting work. Once dry, it allows the paint to be completely washed off if necessary. This is especially important when working with intense or persistent pigments, so you don't have to be afraid to "stain" the paper in the glare area.

1. Apply a thick layer of liquid to the drawing and allow to dry.

2. Prepare strawberry colors: mix cadmium lemon, quinacridone red and add a little winsor blue ( green tint) for the light green areas at the top of the strawberry; quinacridone red and cadmium lemon for the middle; cadmium red dark and pink resistant for the bottom. Make liquid washes of the mixtures and apply them quickly, starting at the top.

Moisten with water and apply paint. Let them dry.

3. Use a damp brush and paper towel to create highlights. Select the edges of the strawberries.

Wait for the paint to dry. Remove the paint to define the location of each seed. First, gently touch the paper with the tip of a damp brush. Blot the paint with a clean cloth or rag. The paint must be removed cleanly and carefully.

4. Deepen the color with drier paint mixtures. Blur the highlights between the seeds. As before, apply water with the tip of your brush (make sure the brush is not wet). Color the seeds with a mixture of yellow light cadmium and dark red cadmium. Quickly drip the dark green, spreading it over all the leaves. Let dry.

5. Continue to apply red, varying the tone depth and pattern depending on what you see. Work on small areas with a dry brush to avoid blurring the paint. Select the veins with a dry brush on the leaves to show the texture.

The strawberries are ready!

Post your photos with the tag #portraits of fruits and vegetables, we will find them and show the most beautiful ones on our creative instagram

We'll start off by sketching the outline and all the details, but for now we won't draw shadows, just the lines.

Now, using separate layers for each color, paint the shape with the middle tones of the primary colors using the Lasso tool or the Pen tool.

It may not be noticeable, but I stick to the main path lines on the topmost layer with a low opacity, so as not to get confused when painting over the strawberries. For details as small as in this picture, it's best to use the Brush tool. When you're done here, you can delete the lines layer.

Click on the picture to see the image in full size and 100% quality.

Now create groups for the base color layers. Let's start with the main part of the strawberry. In drawing it is always best to start with highlights. Choose light tones to paint the highlights and start working on top of the main layer, creating CLIPPING MASKS.

In order to smooth the drawing, you need to be able to use the Smudge tool correctly. After you're done with the highlights and smoothing everything out with your Finger (Smudge), you can start painting shadows that will add dimension to the drawing.

Now, in order to complete your digital drawing, it is best to divide it into sections. Once you finish drawing one section, you can move on to the next. This is a kind of patience training.

Most of the strawberries are now drawn except for the top left area. When I draw volumetric parts like this, I prefer to draw from the edges towards the center.

Now that the main part of the strawberry has been finished, it's time to draw the shadow that the strawberry casts. This will make the drawing more realistic, convincing, but the green leaves still do not look as we would like.

Now paint the green part of the strawberry just like you drew the red part. Add definition, texture and volume using colors, regular smoothing brushes and the Smudge tool.

You might think that the previous step was the last one. But this is not the case. When you decide that your drawing is ready, leave it for 3-4 hours, then go back to it and pay attention to the details. Chances are, you will find many small bugs that need to be corrected. Haste and art are two things that don't go together. Take your time and enjoy your work.

How to draw a strawberry? Yes, it would seem as easy as shelling pears!

Surely in the summer everyone goes to the forest for strawberries or to the garden - we have it growing in the garden. So everyone knows her very well. Tastes. And what this strawberry looks like while you are going to look there is no time. And we remember that the berries are red, and the leaves are green, well ... and everything seems to be.

Therefore, I will answer my question: it is easy to draw strawberries if you draw from nature. Here I brought a small bush for you:

But before we take on the image of the whole plant, let's practice depicting the details: we draw separately a leaf and a twig with a couple of berries.

How to draw a strawberry 1

With a pencil we mark the stems and veins.

The strawberry leaf is trifoliate and each of its constituent leaves has an indefinite oval-rhombic shape. But I advise you my perception of geometric shapes do not tie, because in each case, real living leaves are slightly different. And it's better for us to look more at nature than to draw geometric parallels.

The berries grow on a very thin stem, they are small, somewhat elongated. At the base of each berry, five narrow, pointed sepals bulge. Strawberry fruits in a strictly scientific sense are not "berries" - they are an overgrown fleshy receptacle on the surface of which small seeds are attached.

We figured out the botanical description, we will continue to draw. On the leaves, in addition to the central veins, the lateral ones are very clearly visible - they are located parallel at an angle to the central vein. The edge of the leaf is serrated - one denticle for each vein.

Here - we drew berries and a leaf of strawberries. And, since they drew from nature, the guarantee is one hundred percent - this is exactly strawberry, not a victoria strawberry. And my comrades advise you: if you need to draw something, be sure to try to draw from nature. Memory is good, but details can be forgotten. Drawing from nature will not let you deviate from the truth.

And now, at the same time, I will draw a strawberry bush in stages.

How to draw a strawberry 2

I will not go into details, because I show the course of the drawing not for copying, but only so that you remember the sequence and see what approximately the drawing can turn out when you yourself draw YOUR picture from nature.

Draw a diagram with a pencil - stems, petioles and veins. Let's outline where and how big the berries are, and mark the shape of the leaves.

We draw the side veins and paint.

I'll tell you a parable at the same time. I remembered her while I drew strawberries for you.

So, a parable: a man was walking through a field and came across a hungry lion. Frightened, he ran to the cliff and began to quickly climb the steep slope. At some point, the support disappeared from under his feet, and he remained hanging, clinging to some root with one hand. But, lifting his head, he saw that another lion was waiting for him on top of the rock, and he looked very hungry too. When the horror of the situation began to reach the fugitive, he noticed one more thing - two small mice - black and white - crept up to the root on which he was hanging, and methodically gnaw him! The man looked around for salvation. And I saw not far off a bush of strawberries with a ripe berry. He reached out his hand, picked the berry and ate it - it was VERY sweet. Such is the parable.

Strawberries are a summer berry that is a favorite of many people. Ice cream, juices, yoghurts and other products are made with her taste. Today we will talk about how to draw a strawberry. It is portrayed very simply and very soon you will be able to see for yourself.

One berry

In the first example, we will look at a drawing method that shows us how to draw a strawberry with a pencil. Therefore, prepare an eraser, pencils, crayons, and a blank sheet.

This is a very simple example that will suit both children and novice artists, because we will depict our drawing in just four simple steps.

The first step is to draw a leaf that connects the bush to the berry. Usually it is not eaten, it is torn off and thrown away.

Now we draw the contours of the berry itself. It has a shape similar to a rounded triangle or heart. If you get an uneven shape, then this is not scary. Walking through the garden, you will find that strawberries grow completely asymmetrical, therefore, in the figure, its right and left-hand side may vary slightly.

Cover with grains, short strokes of a pencil. As is the case with the shape of the berry, the grains can be very different from each other, have different sizes and directions. If you draw them perfectly aligned with a ruler, they will look unnatural. Therefore, you need to draw by hand.

The final step is coloring. We take red and green color pencil, we color the leaf in green, and the berry itself in red.

Another example of one berry

If the previous drawing method was focused on artists who draw with a pencil, then this time we will look at how to draw strawberries step by step using absolutely any tools. You can choose felt-tip pens, pen, crayons, watercolor paints and much more.

We depict an oval and a trapezoid under it. If you draw with felt-tip pens, we recommend that you go directly to the third picture, since we will have to erase this trapezoid in the future, because it is only an auxiliary element.

Using ordinary lines, we outline the directions of growth of our leaflet. In the future, we will, of course, detail them.

Based on the trapezoid that we drew in the first step, draw the outlines of the strawberry. In other words, round the edges to make them look like a real berry.

We draw the greenery, it should not turn out too thick and have a rather chaotic shape.

We draw grains, they look like an elongated oval.

We have come to the most difficult stage in this drawing, to coloring. This time we decided to make our strawberry more realistic and put shadows on it. In the next two pictures, you will be able to see the borders of the shadows.

Coloring along the borders. Please note that in some places our berry is darker, and in some it is lighter.

Strawberry still life

If the previous two examples were about drawing one berry, then this time we will demonstrate not just how to draw a strawberry step by step, we will demonstrate a whole strawberry still life with two berries and one in a cut.

In total, we will draw three berries, in the first step we will draw the outlines of the first.

Let's draw the leaves. Everything is simple here and no further explanation is required, just look at the picture below.

Let's draw the contours of the second strawberry. We will cut it in half, which is why we need to draw such an unusual shape.

We draw interior cut berries.

Draw another strawberry in the background. It will not be fully visible, because the two front ones will cover it.

We represent the grains. Everything is simple here short lines standing in the same row, but having different chaotic directions.

Well, the last step is to color in the resulting picture.

For kids

And this drawing method will help you draw strawberries for children. This example is very simple and shows how to draw a strawberry bush with a leaf, two strawberries and a flower.

First, let's draw the base of our bush. The strawberries will hang on the right side, so the two right lines need to be bent slightly towards the ground, as they should sag under the weight of the berry.

Draw a flower at the end of the longest line.

It's time to draw strawberries. It will have a simple, rounded shape.

Let's draw another strawberry and a strawberry leaf.

The final stage will be painting. We decided to choose an incomplete paint style, you can paint your entire bush if you want!

If you've decided to learn how to draw a strawberry, then you want to get creative on a piece of paper, canvas, or an electronic device. Read a few instructions with step-by-step recommendations and photos. Choose the sample you like. Try your hand. You will succeed, because it is very simple to work according to the ready-made scheme.

Be consistent

If you decide to learn how to draw a strawberry, first choose the simplest pattern and follow the work step by step. Draw an outline drawing, and then use paints, crayons, pencils, felt-tip pens, or any other material.

Always go from simple to complex, both when choosing a subject and creating each image.

How to draw a strawberry with a pencil

This section discusses the sequence of the contour drawing of one berry. It is rather simplified, so it will not be difficult to make such an option. Work like this:

1. Take a landscape sheet or any other. Place it horizontally in front of you. It is always advised to draw objects in realistic proportions and sizes. If you find it difficult to make a small image, you can use the entire space of the large sheet. For convenience, draw diagonals to compare your image with the sample relative to them. This will allow you to correctly determine the proportions of the object. An even more accurate method when using a grid, that is, many lines. This image is not very complex, so two guides will suffice. So sketch out the sepals of the foreground.

2. Add a twig and leaves behind it.

3. Draw the shape of the berry as shown in the picture.

4. Show the seeds on the right.

5. Now add three more to the left.

6. Draw the rest, located on the narrow part of the strawberry.

7. The contour is ready. Now you can use markers or paints.

Having drawn several images according to this scheme on one sheet and adding the shape of a plate, you will get a sketch of a still life with juicy summer berries.

How to draw a strawberry with a pencil step by step

The following example will help you depict a stylized berry that looks like a cartoon character. Although the constructions below are good to use when drawing realistic objects.

So, work like this:

1.Use a compass or stencil to make a circle, draw the axis of symmetry along the ruler, and also draw two auxiliary lines along which you will take further steps.

2. With respect to the circle made earlier, draw the shape of a berry with leaves.

3. Complete the eyes and nose. If you require a realistic image, skip this step.

4. Draw seeds on the surface of the berry.

5. Delete construction lines.

The image of a cheerful character is ready. You can color it, add handles, decorate with a bow. Get creative.

Drawing in 4 steps: outline and paint

The following sample demonstrates how to draw a strawberry in a very realistic and natural way in stages. The work is done quickly, as no additional construction lines are used. The sequence of actions is as follows:

1.The same shape as the picture shows.

2. Apply an oval pattern to the surface (you can in any order).

3. Complete the object with a twig and leaves.

4. Complete the drawing the right color, and outline the outline with a black pen.

The stroke option always looks spectacular and decorative.

How to make a tonal drawing

If you decide to learn how to draw a strawberry with a simple pencil to convey volume, light and shadow, then analyze the following image. Take it as a reference.

To shape the berries, use any of the options above. Add leaves, flowers and stems. Try to keep the proportions of these elements relative to each other. When the outline is completed, apply the hatching. If you are a beginner, use a medium-soft pencil and make only light shadows better. Leave the light white. Trace the outlines of the objects, and repeat the darkest areas. The drawing will turn out to be realistic with some degree of decorativeness.

So, you have studied the step-by-step instructions on how to draw a strawberry. The various options presented above will help to implement your plans quickly and easily, even for a novice artist.
